Spirit Day is one of Twibbon’s red letter days and this year’s campaign was yet another great success!
October 19th got off to a roaring start as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (Glaad) updated last year’s campaign with our new Pro features - a header and some great Covers for fans to add to their Facebook pages.
Using the hashtags #SpiritDay and #purple, @glaad used all their social media channels including Facebook and got the campaign supporters up to an incredible 138k!!
As more people showed their support for the campaign the more buzz was generated across Twitter and Facebook:
Using all the Pro Campaign features available to them @glaad were not only able to have a cohesive look to their microsite on Twibbon with a custom header, Twibbon and several Facebook Covers but were also able to utilise the add your Facebook page feature, the like your Facebook page button, the customisation of their Twitter tweet and Facebook update and the Twitter autofollow feature.
Which as you can see helped up their Twitter followers considerably!

Glaad also used their website to push their Twibbon campaign as well as linking their website to their Twibbon campaign page ensuring anyone going to either site would be able to find out the maximum information about their cause and add the Twibbon easily.
